Is the practice easily accessible by public transportation?

We are located just 4 short blocks from the Q train at 1103 Cortelyou Rd between Stratford Rd and Westminster Rd. By bus, you can take the B68 or the B103, which drops off directly in front of the office.

Do you have evening or weekend hours?

Yes, our office is open from 9am until 2pm on Saturdays. Office hours are generally 9:30am to 5pm but often during busier seasons we will be in the office seeing patients after 5pm.

What is your policy on vaccines?

We believe vaccinations are an essential part of your child’s health and strongly encourage our patients to receive all of the recommended immunizations. Our practice follows the most up to date guidelines issued by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We are committed to helping address any questions or concerns you have on vaccinations.

Once I deliver my baby, what then?

If you are delivering your baby at Maimonides, Methodist, or Brookdale hospital, please call us and we will come see you and your baby in the hospital. We would also like you to bring your newborn to our office within 48 to 72 hours after discharge from any hospital for their first visit. Call for an appointment to schedule your visit.

If I would like to transfer to Cortelyou Road Pediatrics, what do I need to do?

Please call our office for an appointment. It is helpful to bring an up to date vaccination record if you have one. We will discuss the need for other medical records at your first visit.

What should I do if there is an emergency with my child?

In the event of an emergency, you can always call us 24/7/365 days a year at 718.282.0170. In case of a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 and seek urgent care.

What is the policy for call-in hours?

Call- in hours are from 7am to 8am Monday through Saturday and 9am to 10am on Sundays and holidays. You are welcome to call during these times if you have any questions or concerns about the health of your child.

Suppose my child is admitted to the hospital, will you take care of him or her?

Yes, we will see our admitted patients at Maimonides, Methodist, or Brookdale hospitals if we are notified. Please call us from the Emergency Department when you find out the doctors are planning to admit your child.

Can a babysitter, sibling or other adult bring my child for an office visit?

Generally, we always prefer the parent or legal guardian to come with their child. For any well child visit or new patient visit, a parent or legal guardian must be present. In special circumstances, we will make exceptions for sick visits if the parent has spoken with the provider before the visit and can be reached by phone during the child’s visit.

Can I stay with one provider in the practice?

For non-urgent visits, you can see any provider you wish. For same day visits, we can only offer providers with available appointments.

Is it okay to bring my child in early for his or her well visit?

For most visits you can come a few weeks early or late to the well visit. However, you cannot come in earlier on the 6 month, 12 month, or 4 year old well checks.
